Friday 8th December - bike **** – Two rivers including lunch at Landguard - sunny and mild:)

Walk ****

Woke to abit of fog and light winds so got up and drove down to Felixstowe Ferry to get some pics of the boats on the River Deben, sadly the fog had almost disappeared by the time I parked near the Ferrboat pub. I walked around the boatyard as the sun started to appear above the cloud so walked along the river to the Martello Tower. With the sun cloud and hardly a cloud in the sky, a big improvement on yesterday I returned to the boatyard getting some cracking pics with the looking amazing with some fantastic reflections, I also got some nice pics of reflections in puddles before returning home for breakfast and to send some pics to the local TV weather, I was lucky enough to have two chosen as BBC editers pick and got one on the lunchtime Look East:)

Bike ****

Being mild after a spell of cold weather I was hoping to get out windsurfing but I had enough time to do my exercises but the wind was not playing ball so we decided to pack a picnic and head out on our bikes, the first time for a month! We set off through Langer Park, Mag is not keen on the busy Felixstowe roads as the cars pass by much to close! Then through the lovely Landguard Nature Reserve stopping by our spot by the concrete bunker near the small wooden pier with a small tug idling in the midle of the Orwell. Then a container ship called Daisy came into view and we were entertained by that while having our yummy picnic:) Well rested and with Maeva coming this afternoon we headed for home, back tp the very sandy prom with Mag turning for home while I continue to Felixstowe Ferry before whizzing home as the sun disappeared behind a cloud and had a fantastic afternoon with the lovely Maeva, she is a complete star, a happy little thing:)
